K. Yoon (Jamie Lisa) was born in 1956. At a very early age she started to sketch and paint on paper and her parents and teachers started noticing her talents. During high school, she entered in competitions and exhibitions and earning many first prize awards. In her junior year her professors recommended her to the prestigious Christina Academy in Seoul, South Korea to show her skills and talents. Her brother, who is also an artist, convinced her to go professional.
In 1975, she had her very first professional gallery exhibition in Seoul. Soon after, she got introduced to the U.S. market. Yoon left her home and made her way to the U.S. to display her works in furnishing markets. For the past 25 years, her works of art has been shown all over the U.S. Especially every fall and spring markets in many cities like in Atlanta, Highpoint and New York.
Now, she has moved to the countryside of South Korea enjoying the natural environment and surroundings around her. She still paints and maintains her professional career to show in prominent galleries and other projects. She also gives lessons to small groups on how to draw and paint. To give her peace of mind, Yoon surrounds herself with animals and flowers at her home; she lives a very quiet and simple life.
