John Milan

John Milan was born in Bellflower California but was raised in Hawaii. He has lived in many different places such as, Hawaii, Florida, Georgia, Greece and Arizona to name a few. His travels as well as his many hiking, skating and surfing experiences helped shape his laid-back free spirit nature.

John has been studying art since he was a young child. He was formally trained in drawing and painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design, then finished his studies at the University of Georgia. John has exhibited his work in many galleries across the US and Europe, and has been commissioned to do murals by many businesses and nightclubs in Miami, Athens, and Honolulu.

John loves people and telling stories about them. He has a way of capturing the essence and gesture of their character, which is evident in all his work. His paintings are as exciting and creative as his fun and loving personality. John's attention to detail and accuracy in elegant line work are important attributes to his work. His landscapes are an eclectic collection of his traveling experiences. John says his success as a professional artist is attributed to, My faith in God. He's inspired and directed me in my work since childhood.

Currently John works everyday in his studio in Arizona, which he shares with his wife Elli. They have three beautiful daughters.

Elli Milan

As a child, Elli always carried with her pieces of crayons. Her mother would unfortunately often find them melted onto Elli's clothes after they went through the wash. Her obsession with creating is still with her today. Elli feels she must paint everyday or she feels incomplete.

It was growing up in Hawaii were Elli met her husband John. They both attended Savannah College of art and Design, and after moving to Georgia together, Elli received her BFA from the University of Georgia.

Living in the beautiful Mediterranean coastal city of Kavala Greece, has inspired many of Elli's works. The bold, clean colors and high contrast light of her work are the reflections of her memories of Greece.

Elli loves the process of painting and the contemplative zone she experiences while painting. Truly loving to paint, sharing the creative process with her artist husband, and Elli's faith are what she attributes most to her success as an artist.
